June 17, 2007 - Gig-review Non-Divine & After Forever live in Bibelot, Dordrecht

Last Friday, June 15th 2007, I went to the gig of Non-Divine & After Forever. Together they played in Bibelot in Dordrecht.

Non-Divine started the evening with a 45 minutes during show. For me this was the first gig with the new Non-Divine drummer Vincento Amatngali. He already played three other shows with Non-Divine after Ruben Viets decided to quit, you can read Ruben’s goodbye and Vinnie’s welcome over here. The played a great shows with several songs (i.a. my favourite song “Sleep”) of the debut album “Asylum 45” (read my review here), and they surprised the audience with some great new songs! They ended the show with a “Sepultura” cover. It was a great gig and I must say that Vinnie (and of course the others too) played a great gig.

After Non-Divine it’s time for After Forever , unfortunately still without guitarist & grunter Sander Gommans. For the grunts After Forever temporarily hired George Oosthoek from Orphanage. The band played a lot of songs of the latest album “ After Forever ” (The CD-review will follow soon), but also some older songs like “Monolith of Doubt”, “Come” and “Follow in the Cry”. The whole show was recorded for a promotional video for the song “Discord” and other promotional material. The band played the 11 minute during song “Dreamflight”. A beautiful song containing the vocals of George, Floor and Bas, sounded great!!

Non-Divine pictures can be found here. I filmed the song “Sleep” of Non-Divine with, this video can be found here. The sound isn’t very good, because I recorded it with my photo camera. After Forever pictures can be found here. It was not allowed to use the flashlight of the camera due to the video recording of both gigs.
