Non-Divine is a dutch metal band who, after they released their first demo cd "My Obsession", participated in the 'Metal grand slam tour 2001' presented by Aardschok magazine. Besides that they supported bands like Dio, Anthrax, After Forever and Murderdolls.
In 2003 Non-Divine won the 'Best band of Arnhem' award and played many festivals. Late 2005 they became winner of the biggest metal award in the Netherlands, Aardschok's metal bash competition. And now they have released their debut concept album 'Asylum 45' through Rusty Cage records.
The music of Non-Divine is very modern sounding melodic metal, with even some hit potential, bands like Metallica, Nickelback and Megadeth are mentioned in their biography, with a bigger part Nickelback in my opinion. But nevertheless they give their music a twist of their own, and I think they can be proud of it too, with a very good production and sound, by Jacob Hansen, a great debut album.
They are heavy, melodic and groovy and have a very modern and progressive sound, songs like 'One man, one soul' and 'New die-hard Vampire' sound real groovy, while a song like 'Breathe' sounds more heavy. Also an instrumental song on the album with 'Love Loss'. All in all, a very diverse album, and if you're into this kind of metal, give them a listen, you won't regret it cause this band is one of the better ones in their kind.
